What is NZMSA Conference?

NZMSA Conferences are the largest events held annually on the NZMSA calendar. It will feature internationally-renowned speakers, outstanding social events, and aims to broaden the visions of New Zealand medical students.


When NZMSA Conference 2012?

NZMSA Conference 2012 will be held from Friday 18th May to Sunday 22nd May. A formal letter will be provided for you to arrange leave from university on Friday.


How much is it?

Currently, the registration fee approximately NZD$150.


What does the registration fee include?

Your registration fee includes registration, flights for domestic students, accommodation for two nights, as well as social events and nearly all food costs.


Who is eligible to attend?

NZMSA Conference 2012 will be open to all medical students throughout New Zealand at any level of training (from second year onwards). There will also be 20 places exclusively reserved to students from Australia and Asia-Pacific. If you are an interested international student, please email us at conference@nzmsa.org.nz


What are your selection criteria?

You will need to answer a few short questions, and all applications will be assessed by an independent third party.


How do I apply?

Applications are taken through this website. The dates for application will be announced well in advance.


I have never been to Conference before – should I apply?

Yes! In addition to the fabulous speakers and activities at Conference, there are many other reasons for attending. It is a fantastic opportunity to meet and network with other medical students from around the country, it’s a great thing to add to your CV, and of course, the price is a bargain!


I have been to Conference many times before – should I apply?

Yes! If you’ve already been to Conference, you’ll know it’s a hugely popular event which is the highlight of the year for many students. And we are confident you will like the changes we have introduced for 2012.
